CHIN PLASTIC OR GENIOPLASTY
The chin can be modified to harmonize a face; the two main requests are refinement (square chin) and increased projection (receding chin).
In all cases it involves action on the bone base, and sometimes on the subcutaneous and muscular tissues.
For a square chin, this allows for refining, feminizing and redefining the oval shape; the technique involves bone reaming, limited however by the inferior dental nerve and the mental foramen, combined with muscle plasty.
For a receding chin, the technique may involve osteotomies or the placement of rigid silicone prostheses of variable and predefined shape.

These two procedures can be part of a more complex surgical procedure, particularly when associated with rhinoplasty or as part of facial feminization surgery.
Pre-operative assessment: mandibular CT scan with 3D (three-dimensional) reconstruction
Operating time: less than one hour
Incision: vestibular (between the teeth and the lower lip)
Post-operative care: elastic bandages for 4 days, mouthwash, painkillers

1- Combination of rhinoplasty and genioplasty with advancement using silicone prosthesis
