Facial injections

How can you navigate the multitude of products offered by various practitioners for different indications?
By understanding some simple concepts about the different types of aging and the indications and effects of each product. While some products should be avoided, particularly non-absorbable ones, most are beneficial and have a place, provided their precise indications are respected and not exceeded.

Morphological types of aging:

There are two main types of aging :

• Aging due to tissue loss, resulting in a hollowed, skeletal facial appearance.
• Aging due to cutaneous and muscular laxity, with patients exhibiting hyperkinetic wrinkles and tissue ptosis.

These two types of aging can be present in the same person.

Possible types of injections:

There are 3 types of injection :

Botulinum toxin , which is a paralyzing agent
• Injectable fillers or implants ( hyaluronic acid , collagen, polylactic acid, etc.)
Autologous fat grafting, i.e., lipofilling by reinjection of one's own fat after centrifugation
